This Privacy Policy explains how Anamnesis ("we", "the app") handles your information. We believe privacy should be straightforward, so we have kept this document short and plain.

1. What We Collect

When you create an account, we collect:

• A display name — this does not need to be your real or legal name.
• An email address — used only to authenticate your account and contact you if necessary.

Optionally, if you choose to use the live astrological transit feature, you may provide:

• A city name and 2-letter country code — used solely to calculate planetary positions for your location. This information is never required and can be omitted or removed at any time in your astrology preferences.

We do not collect phone numbers, precise physical addresses, payment information, government-issued ID, or any other personal data.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your name and email are used solely to:

• Create and authenticate your account.
• Ensure that only you can access your own content within the app.

If you have provided a location for astrological transits, your city and country code are used to fetch planetary position data for display in your journal and dashboard. See Section 4 for details on how this involves a third-party service.

We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, analytics profiling, or any purpose beyond operating your account.

3. Data Access and Isolation

All content in Anamnesis is gated by user authentication. Other users cannot see your data, and you cannot see theirs. We access your data only as needed to provide the service or troubleshoot issues you report to us.

4. Third-Party Services

Anamnesis uses one external service to power live astrological transit data: a planetary calculation API. If you have provided a location in your astrology preferences, your city name and country code are sent to this service each time your transit data is fetched. No other information is transmitted. This data is used only to perform the calculation and is not retained, sold, or used by the API provider for any other purpose, consistent with their terms of service.

If you have not provided a location, no data is sent to any external service.

Beyond this, we do not share your data with any third parties.

5. What We Do Not Do

To be explicit about our practices:

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not share your data with third parties, except as described in Section 4.
• We do not run advertising or tracking of any kind.
• We do not collect payment information.
• We do not use third-party analytics services.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your name and email for as long as your account is active. We have no interest in keeping your data beyond what is needed to provide the service.

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at groundskeeper@anamnesis.garden. We will process your request promptly.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including authentication controls to ensure your content is only accessible to you. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take this responsibility seriously.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
